Canned Goods

Our school is demonstrating our compassion this fall. We have three separate donations occurring right now. One is canned goods for the Mid-Ohio Food Bank, which a high school student is putting together for us. Another local donation is for NEW coats, hats, mittens, gloves (etc.), which will be donated to Franklin County Children Services (this is put on by our first graders). Last but most certainly not least, is a canned food drive for the Philippines (arranged by our fourth graders). What BIG hearts your children have! Be Proud!

Items at Home

Do you have any unwanted...

  • tape players (something that headphones can be plugged into) and/or
  • headphones or ear buds

Both items are for our Listen to Reading area. If you have either items and would like to get rid of them, I would love to take them off your hands and into our classroom!

Thanks!

NO SCHOOL

Attention Parents: There is NO SCHOOL TODAY (11/19). Please do not report to the elementary school today. eStem and Encore also do NOT have school today. Click here to see the posting on the SRE Website.

Math Homework

This week for math homework I will be adding specific things on IXL to practice. For example, tonight (11/18) math homework is "graphing". Underneath the Data and Graphs heading, I would like the children to focus on pictographs and bar graphs. Tomorrow (11/19), it will be anything under Mixed Operations. Of course everything is helpful and is expected by the end of the year, but I hope this will help you and your second grader decide what to practice this week.
